Hooligans Pub & Nightclub, Canmore, is our Featured Site for the month of March. Canmore is known for its breath-taking scenery, great golf and skiing, and its HOT Site.
Hooligans Nightclub first opened in October 2000. It became the largest single floor licensed capacity in the Town of Canmore. With room for 275 people, the bar offered Canmore’s first dance floor and sound system specifically designed for late night DJ entertainment.
In early 2003 Hooligans revamped their image, becoming an all- day venue that included a name change from Hooligan’s Nightclub to Hooligan’s Pub & Nightclub. Hooligans then teamed up with The Horses Off Track to offer simulcast horse racing, the first establishment of its kind in the area. Hooligans was very proud to be given the opportunity, and the news spread fast. They soon became the exclusive venue in the Bow Valley for horse racing fans, a position they have maintained throughout the years.
Today it is an exciting time at Hooligans as it is in another transitional stage, where a full renovation of the bar is imminent. There will be a new name, interior change and an outdoor patio built with plans to become a neighborhood pub catering to a more diverse clientele. The focus will be on good food and entertainment that caters to all ages. The Live Horse Racing from all over the world will continue but customers will enjoy watching their favorite tracks on the newest TV's technology provide!
At present, as well as offering daily Off Track Betting, Hooligans has pool tables, dart boards and video games. DJ entertainment is offered on Fridays and Saturdays from 10pm 'til late. There is a daily happy hour from 4 'til 8pm together with daily drink specials.
The Horses Off Track is proud to be partnered with Hooligan’s, and invites you to stop in and check it out. It’s a beautiful space before the renovations, so we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
Directions:
From the East (Calgary): Take the first exit sign posted Canmore (#91). Turn right onto the Bow Valley Trail. Once you pass the Ford Car Dealership take you next right turn (where Napa Auto Parts is located) and they are at the top of the road.
From the West (Vancouver): Take the third (last) exit sign posted Canmore (#91) and follow the above directions.

The Stretch Bar & Grill, Fort Saskatchewan, is our Featured Site for the month of February. If you haven’t been to The Stretch, it’s definitely worth the drive.
This bar breathes horse racing. It definitely has the small town feel, and there is always someone there with a great story. The clientele includes many of the industries best handicappers, horsemen and horse owners. If you stop in on the right day, you may even catch Brandon Campbell, one of Western Canada’s leading drivers, bartending at The Stretch.

The Sawridge Inn, Peace River is our Featured Site for the month of January. Nestled in the heart of the river valley, the Sawridge is the place to stay and play in Peace River. The magic happens in the Sternwheelers Game Room, which features plasma TVs, Keno, Lottery, twenty five VLTs, and off track betting.

Billy Budd’s in Edmonton is our Featured Site for the month of December. This site was one of the first places in Edmonton to have off track betting, and it has remained a fan favorite over the last ten years. This huge bar has something for everyone, and the staff continuously goes out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and comfortable. Being open twenty four years has taught them what works, and they do it well.

Driller’s Lounge in Nisku is our Featured Site for the month of November. Open since mid- April, Driller’s has started off slow but will surely gain momentum with upcoming promotions and events. Just off Highway 2, this large lounge includes a feature wall with twelve 40- inch and two 58- inch flat screen TVs, as well as a spectacular sound system to listen in on all your favorite tracks. Plenty of seating, complimentary wireless Internet, drink specials, VLTs, and a full menu complete the experience.
