Santa Anita Derby (Grade I)
Purse $750,000. For Three-Year-Olds. By subscription of $300 each to accompany the nomination (Early Bird) on or before Saturday, January 2, 2010. Early Bird nominees to the Santa Anita Derby are automatically eligible to the San Rafael, Robert Lewis, Sham and San Felipe Stakes with nomination and starting fees waived to those four stakes. Regular nominations close Saturday, March 20, 2010 by payment of $2,500 each. Supplementary nominations are due at time of entry, by payment of $15,000. All horses shall pay $7,500to start, with $750,000 guaranteed, of which $450,000 to first, $150,000 to second, $90,000 to third, $45,000 to fourth and $15,000 to fifth. 122 Lbs. Graded or Group winners preferred. Starters to be named through the entry box by the closing time of enntries. A trophy will be presented to the owner of the winner. One And One Eighth Miles. (All Weather Track)
